Ripping videos from websites is a fucking chore with Windows, and every website/piece of software to do it seems super sketchy so I'm just rolling the dice on getting a virus least it's for work and on the work machine!

@ink_slinger FWIW, I've been using this for a few years now:

Is youtube-dl an option? (Works with more than just YT)

@porsupah Apparently there is a Windows version of youtube-dl. I didn't realize!

@ink_slinger Oh, cool beans! Definitely, that's a good option. ^_^ 4KVD I wish were a nice, open project, but, it does the job tidily, fetching the highest resolution available, with quite a reasonable UI.

@ink_slinger It looks like there's a Windows version of youtube-dl. There's also a Firefox add-on called Video DownloadHelper that works pretty well, but I've never tried it on Windows.

@AppleStrudelMan I didn't realize yt-dl had a Windows version. Good to know!
