So @doctorow wrote this article about how disruptors like Uber can (ab)use laws like DMCA and CFAA as shields against being disrupted themselves in the same way. Basically government protection is bad unless it protects only them.

The Uber example got me thinking: could a federation of driver co-ops be formed that used ActivityPub type tech and a like ride app? And you only need one app and a login to your "home instance" and you could use it anywhere?
