It's 6:30am here (waiting for my coffee so I can start work!) - was just pondering how different mastodon feels to twitter. Especially now with more activity post Musk-Buy.

Like, I'll cross post the same art/comics/sketches to my twitter (which has more followers than my masto account) and I'll be lucky to get a few likes, compared to here where there's just a BUZZ of activity 😳

The lack of ads and algorithm has done wonders for my brain too.

@JenJen there seems to be orders of magnitude more interaction here, which is ironic since The Silos are supposedly all about "engagement".

I guess the only engagement in advertising-driven forums that matters is clicking "share" or "like" on rage-posts.

@msh yeah, I'm also using twitter only on browser without ad-blockers etc, so really getting the "vanilla experience" over there, which is just a ton of Outrage trends constantly 😟
Deleted twitter off my phone after christmas and have never missed it.
